Upcoming Events:

1. Please check with the KBC and SBC websites (kybaptist.org/events and sbc.net) for upcoming events in which your church may want to participate. 

2. A reminder: PABA will be conducting a Ministry Safe training session on Saturday, August 22nd, from 9:00 am until Noon. Dr. Sara Robinson from the KBC will be guiding us in this crucial aspect of our ministries. Folks, it's the law now, so let us turn out and represent PABA churches in strength. Even if you have such safeguards in your church now, there is more to it than background checks. Come and get the latest word or how to keep your church a safe place for children, adults, and visitors to worship and study God's Word. She will be sharing with us all the newest updates in this area of all our ministries. Also, please RSVP if possible as a breakfast will be served 30 minutes prior to the training and we will need an approximate head count. As yet, we do not have a host church complete with audio visual capabilities.   

3. Our next general session for PABA will be at The Way Church in Benton, KY., 320 Old Liberty School Rd, Benton 42025. We have a good bit of business to discuss, so I hope to see you there. 

4. Our Annual Meeting of PABA will be on Thursday, October 22, (location to be determined), and Dr. Michael Cabell of the KBC will be our guest speaker. You don't want to miss this one.  

5. For all our Bi-vocational pastors and their wives, there will be a retreat this year in Bowling Green at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. There is only room for 60 couples so register on the KBC website as soon as you can. It will be held on October 2 and 3, which is Friday and Saturday. The retreat starts at 3:00 pm on Friday and continues until noon on Saturday. For all you hard-working bi-vocational folks, this is a chance to relax and be fed as the KBC sponsors this much appreciated respite.
